TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed a greenhouse monitoring system based on LoRa technology, which is designed to work over long distances, and used edge computing paradigms with a machine learning mechanism to analyze and control the state of the greenhouse, and to reduce the mount of data transmitted to the server.
Abstract: Internet of Things (IoT) technologies represent the future challenges of computing and communications. They can also be useful to improve traditional farming practices worldwide. Since the areas where agricultural land is located in remote places, there is a need for new technologies. These technologies must be suitable and reliable for communication over long distances and, at the same time, consume little energy. In particular, one of these relatively new technologies is the LoRa communication protocol, which uses long waves to work over long distances. This is extremely useful in agriculture, where the communicating areas are broad fields of crops and greenhouses. This study developed a greenhouse monitoring system based on LoRa technology, designed to work over long distances. The edge computing paradigms with a machine learning mechanism are proposed to analyze and control the state of the greenhouse, and in particular, to reduce the mount of data transmitted to the server.

TL;DR: In this paper, a nuclear magnetic magnetometer with flowing water was used to determine the magnetic susceptibility and Curie constant of magnetic fluids with an error no greater than 1.0%.
Abstract: In this paper, we consider a new method that employs a highly sensitive nuclear magnetic magnetometer with flowing water to determine the magnetic susceptibility and Curie constant of magnetic fluids with an error no greater than 1.0%. The Curie law was shown to be fulfilled in the temperature range of 283–323 K, in which ferrofluidic cells are used. A further increase in the temperature of the ferromagnetic fluid leads to an insignificant change in the Curie constant. The results of experimental studies are presented.

TL;DR: Methods of synthesis of integrated adaptive filters, which consist of Mach-Zehnder interferometers and ring resonators, are considered and the relationship between a delay-line length of a filter and parameters of channel and line link which allows determining a minimum permissible length of the filter delay- line is established.
Abstract: The increasing of transmission speed in optical fiber allows decreasing transmission cost of one bit of information. But with growth of transmission speed in optical communication line the efficacy of chromatic dispersion to signal grows accordingly. The most promising method of dispersion compensation is the adaptive signal processing in optical area. Methods of synthesis of integrated adaptive filters, which consist of Mach-Zehnder interferometers and ring resonators, are considered in this article. The relationship between a delay-line length of a filter and parameters of channel and line link which allows determining a minimum permissible length of the filter delay-line is established. Comparison of infinite impulse response filter and finite impulse response filter by complexity of implementation is performed.

TL;DR: Proposed algorithm utilizes hybrid mechanism which combines multi-channel multicasting and unicast scheme to enhance not only service blocking probability but also reduce overall bandwidth consumption of the IPTV networks.
Abstract: IPTV service, especially Video on Demand (VoD) service like famous sport games, popular movies will be a technology winner in the near future. Multicast transmission will be used in mobile IPTV over wireless access network like WiMax. In this paper, we will look multi-channel multicast algorithm to allocate content packets into several channels over WiMax. Proposed algorithm utilizes hybrid mechanism which combines multi-channel multicasting and unicast scheme to enhance not only service blocking probability but also reduce overall bandwidth consumption of the IPTV networks. In order to evaluate the performance, we compare proposed algorithm against traditional unicast and Multicast schemes.
