TL;DR: A case of post-resuscitative pneumoperitoneum following bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation and artificial ventilation via a laryngeal mask airway and mouth-to-mouth and bag-valve-mask are presented.
Abstract: We present a case of post-resuscitative pneumoperitoneum following bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation and artificial ventilation via a laryngeal mask airway. Artificial ventilation can result in gastric distention and contribute to subsequent gastric perforation. Among the various approaches to ventilating patients in respiratory failure, mouth-to-mouth and bag-valve-mask are much more likely to cause gastric inflation than ventilating with a laryngeal mask airway. Abdominal distention, haematemesis, and bloody gastric aspiration are common manifestations of post-resuscitative gastric perforation in which pneumoperitoneum is discovered in the majority of these patients by a roentgenogram of the chest after successful resuscitation.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed related opinions for the theory based on the analysis of and discussions on documents and data, and integrated the product life cycle with the industrial and industrialization theory to construct the life cycle model of cultural creative product industrialization.
Abstract: The study aimed to probe into the establishment of the product life cycle model of cultural creative product industrialization. It proposed related opinions for the theory based on the analysis of and discussions on documents and data. Moreover, based on the results of case study and in-depth interviews, the study integrated the product life cycle with the industrial and industrialization theory to construct the life cycle model of cultural creative product industrialization. The characteristics of cultural creative product industrialization in each management stage and meanings behind it could be comprehended through the model, and it can serve as references for enterprises in designing and developing cultural creative products and in planning management strategies. The findings of the study are as follows: (1) The concept of integrating cultural creative product industrialization with the product life cycle was feasible as each industrialization stage of products could be probed into in depth to adjust strategies to adapt to the change of environment, (2) The product life cycle process of cultural creative product industrialization chiefly includes introduction stage, growth stage, maturity stage and decline stage; (3) The strategies of each stage of the product life cycle: “introduction stage—innovation and creativity-oriented,” “growth stage—quality maintenance and product diversity-oriented,” “maturity stage—product renewal and new product development-oriented;” “decline stage—product function improvement-oriented.”

TL;DR: The lived experiences of self-harm and harm to others from the perspective of two adult offspring and a father, the latter of whom was prone to alcohol abuse and domestic violence and had attempted suicide are explored.
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to explore the lived experiences of self-harm and harm to others from the perspective of two adult offspring and a father, the latter of whom was prone to alcohol abuse and domestic violence and had attempted suicide. Written informed consents were obtained from the subjects after a detailed explanation of the research aims and procedures. A qualitative, phenomenological method was applied for the study. Three subjects were interviewed using a semi-structured interview guide designed by the researchers and based on the aims of the study over a six-month period of home care. A qualitative content analysis based on a phenomenological method was used to identify themes in the data. Two main categories emerged: (1) the mutual harm to the couple subsystem, (2) the misplaced parental-child subsystem. Subsequently, two to four themes were identified from each category. These results provide a better analysis and understanding of the perceived experiences of the harm to the spouse, parental, and sibling subsystems. They should also help health professionals to improve awareness of the lived experiences associated with the issues of self-harm and threats of harm to others. This study could serve as a valuable reference in promoting possible prevention strategies aiming at the reduction of self-harm and harm to others in dysfunctional families within the community. TL;DR: The results showed that the accessibility and interactivity respectively produced significant effects on perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness, and then that the hearing-impaired students felt helpful and intended to use the interactive online learning environment as often as needed.
Abstract: Interactive online learning environment with audiovisual multimedia has improved significantly in increasing learning effectiveness. However, for hearing-impaired students who have difficulties in internet multimedia systems associated with audio and visual information require further design to overcome their limitation. To this end, the present study develops an interactive online learning environment to increase accessibility and interactivity for hearing-impaired students based on hyperlink techniques, modular concepts and online discussions. In particular, for increasing accessibility, in Course Design, to capture attention and arouse interests, 1) we provide pre-course briefing with sign language and lip language, and displaying learning outcome, for reducing cognitive loading, and 2) categorize topics and simplify course contents, for providing enough time to comprehend, moreover, we add 3)self-assessment and online forum as synchronized discussion. For increasing interactivity, in Interface Design, we provide 4) index buttons for fast understanding of course outline and 5) self selection of course, and 6) impressive visual guide to highlight important points and to help comprehension of course contents. Our empirical experiments based on 60 hearing-impaired students showed that the abovementioned five enhancement designs have significant increase their intention to use interactive online learning environment manifested in Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The results showed that the accessibility and interactivity respectively produced significant effects on perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness, and then that the hearing-impaired students felt helpful and intended to use the interactive online learning environment as often as needed. However, it was also found that perceived ease of use did not produce direct effects on the hearing-impaired students' intention to use. The implication in design better online learning environment for particular users and contribution in developing orange technology of learning are discussed.

TL;DR: Performance analysis shows that the presented CAE scheme is cost efficient than the existing Wu et al.
Abstract: The convertible authentication encryption (CAE) scheme, enables the signatory to send a secret message and its associated signature to a designated receiver. If some dispute happens, then the receiver has the ability to get ordinary signature by converting the ciphertext signature. The receiver can solely perform this signature conversion without any extra computational costs. The recipient of the signature can prove himself that he/she is the actual designated recipient. We incorporate self - certified public key (SCPK) systems into a CAE scheme to propose our CAE scheme with authentication and computationally indistinguishable. Our CAE scheme provide robust security and apply it to different online financial applications. The security analysis reflects that, our CAE scheme satisfies all the security requirements. Moreover, it does not require additional certificate verification because the public key authentication and signature verification can be done in single logical step. Finally, from the result of performance analysis shows, that the presented CAE scheme is cost efficient than the existing Wu et al.’s scheme.
