TL;DR: In this paper, a new model predictive control (MPC) framework is proposed to generate feedback controls for time-varying nonlinear systems with input constraints, and a set of conditions on the design parameters that permits to verify a priori the stabilizing properties of the control strategies considered.

TL;DR: In this article, the conditional logit model based on random utility maximization has been used to model firm location decisions and the Poisson regression has been proposed as a tractable solution to handle complex choice scenarios with a large number of spatial alternatives.
Abstract: The conditional logit model based on random utility maximization has provided an adequate framework to model firm location decisions. However, in practice, the implementation of this methodology presents problems when one has to handle complex choice scenarios with a large number of spatial alternatives. We posit the Poisson regression as a tractable solution to these problems. We demonstrate that by taking advantage of an equivalence relation between the likelihood function of the conditional logit and the Poisson regression we can, under certain circumstances, easily estimate a conditional logit model regardless of the number of choices. This insight should be particularly useful for studies of economic location.

TL;DR: The purpose of this review is to cover the biological function of the main members of BMP family, the latest research on BMPs signalling pathways and advances in the production of recombinant B MPs for tissue engineering purposes.
Abstract: Discovered in 1965, bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) are a group of cytokines from the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFbeta) superfamily with significant roles in bone and cartilage formation. BMPs are used as powerful osteoinductive components of diverse tissue-engineering products for the healing of bone. Several BMPs with different physiological roles have been identified in humans. The purpose of this review is to cover the biological function of the main members of BMP family, the latest research on BMPs signalling pathways and advances in the production of recombinant BMPs for tissue engineering purposes.

TL;DR: In this article, a microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) method was used to extract fucoidan from brown seaweed Fucus vesiculosus under different conditions of pressure (30-120psi), extraction time (1-31min), and alga/water ratio (1/25 to 5/25 g/ml−1).

TL;DR: The cytotoxicity test revealed that SCA and SEVA-C composites have a similar response to the one obtained for SCA polymer, and both types of starch-based polymers exhibit a cytocompatibility that might allow for their use as biomaterials.
