13 Oct 2008TL;DR: The objective of this paper is to simplify object models compare with ontology model and presents the available tools, methods, procedures which show the corporation with object modeling and ontologies.
Abstract: The goal of the data model is to certify that all data objects required by the database are completely and accurately represented. Because the data model uses easily understood notations and natural language, it can be examined and confirmed as correct by the end-users. There are two major methodologies used to create a data model: the Entity-Relationship (ER) approach and the object model. Ontologies are objects of interest (universal of discourse). The objective of this paper is to simplify object models compare with ontology model. There are some similarities between objects in object models and concepts or classes in ontologies. The object model is the center of data modeling; on the other hand ontology itself has the concept which is the basis of knowledge base. Some issues mentioned in this paper are related with their connection; some are addressed directly into the similarities or differences point of view of both. This paper also presents the available tools, methods, procedures which show the corporation with object modeling and ontologies.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors show how bundling, exclusivity and additional markets internalize fire sale and other pecuniary externalities, and how to achieve a constrained efficient allocation.
Abstract: We show how bundling, exclusivity and additional markets internalize fire sale and other pecuniary externalities. Ex ante competition can achieve a constrained efficient allocation. The solution can be put rather simply: create segregated market exchanges which specify prices in advance and price the right to trade in these markets so that participant types pay, or are compensated, consistent with the market exchange they choose and that type's excess demand contribution to the price in that exchange. We do not need to identify and quantify some policy intervention. With the appropriate ex ante design we can let markets solve the problem.

01 Mar 2021TL;DR: In this article, the authors acknowledge the basics of environmental impact by using intensive review and in-depth interview from experts in e-commerce to find out the E-commerce processes and activities in Thailand and also analyze the activities that impact on the environment.
Abstract: E-commerce is being a big growth in global commercial because of its ease and no need for the real store. The value of E-commerce in Thailand is predicted to be 4.67 trillion Baht in 2021. However, Thailand has been facing several environmental problems such as waste, congestion and pollution. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to acknowledge the basics of environmental impact by using intensive review and in-depth interview from experts in E-commerce to find out the E-commerce processes and activities in Thailand and also analyzing the activities that impact on the environment. The study found that when the value of E-commerce in Thailand has been increased which means the more frequently purchase of products, the more waste is produced because of individual packaging. Then analyze E-commerce activities from E-commerce partner that impact on environment and found the E-commerce processes that impact on the environment which are firstly, the process of repacking produces waste from additional packaging, secondly, the process of customer purchasing from searching for products to placing an order has impact on environment in terms of energy use and device charging. Finally, the delivery process also has impact on environment because of the energy used and pollution.

TL;DR: In this article, a demonstrative farming at Bang Tanai Nonthaburi where the concepts of sufficient economy philosophy, the first step of New Theory, and the business concepts were applied in a small area (0.39 acres).
Abstract: This research studied on a demonstrative farming at Bang Tanai Nonthaburi where the concepts of sufficient economy philosophy, the first step of New Theory, and the business concepts were applied in a small area (0.39 acres). The area was divided into several parts including a rice farm,a fish pond, an animal field, and vegetable plots. The result showed that the rice yield in this project averaged at 461.9 kg which was not different from that in a normal farm with the average of 369.18 kg. Thus, the output from this project was of higher productivity than that from a regular farm. In addition, the income and profit of farmers in the project were significantly different from those received from a normal rice farm at 0.01 level. The average revenue earned from this project was around 140, 145 baht per 0.39 acres, with the average net profit of 111,996 baht per 0.39 acres, while the average income from normal farm was 4,120 baht per 0.39 acres, with the average net profit of 1,964 baht per 0.39 acres.

TL;DR: In this paper, the acceleration performance of a disk-shaped magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) accelerator was investigated in a quasi-1D numerical simulation employing the MacCormack scheme.
Abstract: This paper investigates the acceleration performance of a disk-shaped magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) accelerator. Quasi-1-dimensional (Q1D) numerical simulation employing the MacCormack scheme was developed. For the longer channel length of 0.9 m, thermal loss was estimated at over 60% and effective acceleration could not be achieved owing to large heat loss and large friction loss. For shorter channel lengths, thermal loss can be reduced below 20% owing to the smaller heat and the friction losses. However, with too short a channel length, accelerator performance was decreased by the MHD compression due to excessive Faraday current density. The effect of ratio of cross sectional area on performance was also studied. For a larger area ratio, the gas can be accelerated smoothly throughout the MHD channel. However, for the excessive expansion case of a sevenfold channel, gas velocity near the exit decreased due to transition to a “generator mode”. For the best acceleration performance, the design channel length should be as short as possible preventing compression at the channel inlet. The area ratio should be large enough to prevent the compression but not too large, to prevent transition to a “generator mode”.
