Abstract: Remote sensing is the process of acquiring information on Earth's terrestrial and aquatic surfaces through reflected electromagnetic energy. The channels that handle the sensor are called platforms that include ground-based, aircrafts and satellites. Remote sensing application includes agriculture, forestry, environmental monitoring, soil degradation, oceanography, geology, etc. The tools such as panchromatic sensors (PANs), multispectral sensors and hyper spectral sensors are used because they find out the chemical and physical composition of objects. This paper gives a summary of remote sensing, their species and applications that encompass agriculture in various disciplines.

TL;DR: This study presents the review on what are the advancements in micro luidic platforms for rapid drug screening and for different cancer patients and also presents the different sensing methodologies of micro lUIDic devices exists to screen the drug for various cancerous tissues.
Abstract: There is a lot of requirement to develop a preclinical rapid drug screening devices to treat the throat cancerous patients in effective manner. Very High cost models like animal based, 2d and 3d type models are static drug screening models and they are unable to mimic the human body dynamic condition. So microfluidic platform based drug screening devices will give predetermined and prominent result in rapid drug screening by mimic dynamic body conditions. Now it is required to review what are the developments from last five years in screening the drug for cancer. Recently research is going on microfluidic platforms to screen the efficacy of mixed drugs, drug tolerance, and drug susceptibility. So this study presents the review on what are the advancements in microfluidic platforms for rapid drug screening and for different cancer patients. This study also presents what are the different sensing methodologies of microfluidic devices exists to screen the drug for various cancerous tissues

TL;DR: Proposed method uses Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) to implement correlation of received signal and locally generated carrier signal in acquisition process and is implemented on one millisecond period Intermediate Frequency (IF) IRNSS signal sampled at 50MHZ.
Abstract: Indian Regional Navigational Satellite System (IRNSS) consists of two major modules in the receiver operation, namely, acquisition and tracking. Based on the study of Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver operations IRNSS is being implemented. But IRNSS uses Binary Offset Carrier (BOC) modulation technique to generate the transmitting signal. This paper deals with the implementation of acquisition module for IRNSS. Acquisition is a process to find code shift in Pseudo Random Noise (PRN) code and Doppler shift in carrier frequency of received IRNSS signal. Software Defined Receiver (SDR) technology is used to implement acquisition. SDR technology helps in designing a flexible open-Architecture receiver. Proposed method uses Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) to implement correlation of received signal and locally generated carrier signal in acquisition process. Proposed method is implemented on one millisecond period Intermediate Frequency (IF) IRNSS signal sampled at 50MHZ.This paper also compared the acquisition of GPS and IRNSS signals.

TL;DR: In this paper, a multi-octave band tapered slot Vivaldi antenna (62 mm × 31 mm × 1.6 mm) operating in the frequency band of 6-18 GHz is proposed.
Abstract: Usually ridged waveguides, log periodic and tapered slot antennas have been extensively used for EW applications. In this paper, design of a multi-octave band tapered slot Vivaldi antenna (62 mm × 31 mm × 1.6 mm) operating in the frequency band of 6–18 GHz is proposed. Various antenna characteristics such as return loss, VSWR, effective gain and radiation patterns are measured. In addition, the responses of the antenna are studied through parametric study for different values of exponential tapering rate (R), slot width (W3)and cavity diameter (ri). The simulation results show that the VSWR increases at higher value of R resulting in poor performance of the antenna. The simulated value of antenna gain at selected frequencies of 6 GHz, 10 GHz, 12 GHz and 18 GHz are 3.2 dB, 7.3 dB, 7.8 dB and 0.4 dB, respectively. The antenna is fabricated using FR4 substrate and measured results are compared with simulation results. It is shown that the simulated results agree well with the measured results. The antenna is designed using HFSS software and concluding remarks are reported.

TL;DR: Improved variants of cuckoo search algorithm are proposed for optimizing the controlling variables of flexible ac transmission system devices towards voltage stability enhancement and active power loss minimization by considering renewable energy sources intermittency in the network.
Abstract: In this paper, improved variants of cuckoo search algorithm are proposed for optimizing the controlling variables of flexible ac transmission system devices towards voltage stability enhancement and active power loss minimization by considering renewable energy sources intermittency in the network. Primarily, the optimal location for flexible ac transmission system devices is determined using line stability index and later the control parameters of generalized unified power flow controller and optimal unified power flow controller are optimized at different intermittency levels of renewable energy sources using three cuckoo search algorithm variants. The case studies are performed on standard IEEE 14-, 30-, 57-bus test systems. The superiority of proposed cuckoo search algorithm variants (linearly increased switching parameter, exponentially increased switching parameter and increased switching parameter in a power of three) in solving the multi-objective, non-linear complex optimization problem over time varying acceleration coefficient—particle swarm optimization variants is presented by illustrating various case studies.
