TL;DR: A hybrid system is proposed by employing the convex combination of ACLMS and ANGD algorithms for the adaptive beamforming in smart antennas employed for cellular and mobile communications, and it is shown that the hybrid algorithm outperforms both the individual algorithms in respect of the important array characteristics.
Abstract: A new class of adaptive algorithms to process complex signals is used for the adaptive beamforming in smart antennas employed for cellular and mobile communications. Adaptive nonlinear gradient descent (ANGD) algorithm and augmented complex least mean squares (ACLMS) algorithm are proven to be useful to process complex signals of large dynamics. A hybrid system is proposed by employing the convex combination of ACLMS and ANGD algorithms. The new algorithm is tested on smart antennas for mobile communications through MATLAB simulations. From the results, it is shown that the hybrid algorithm outperforms both the individual algorithms in respect of the important array characteristics like side-lobe level (SLL), half power beamwidth (HPBW), desired signal tracking, and mean squared error (MSE) convergence.

TL;DR: The design and analysis of assembled system made of aluminum alloy and CFRP material and coupled analysis (thermal and hydrostatic) carried out for existing design using ANSYS finite element analysis software proves the stresses and buckling pressures are within the limits.
Abstract: Underwater weapons in defense application are used to hit against enemy ships and submarines. These are designed to operate under extreme depths which require minimization of structural weight for increasing the performance, speed and operating range. This paper deals with the design and analysis of assembled system made of aluminum alloy and CFRP material. It mainly consists of different subsystems. These subsystems are used to accommodate different varieties of electronics and other systems required for underwater applications. These subsystems generate the heat fluxes which are transferred to both ends of the system. In addition, this underwater system also subjected to external hydrostatic pressure during functioning. Hydrostatic and thermal loads can cause system failure due to shell expansion and O-ring failure and can cause water leakage into the vehicle compartments. This paper mainly concerns about the avoidance of system failures and increase the efficiency of underwater vehicle. Coupled analysis (thermal and hydrostatic) carried out for existing design using ANSYS finite element analysis software. With this analysis stresses, deformations and strains of vehicle are found out for existing design. Buckling analysis also carried out for subsystem shells for finding the buckling pressure. This analysis proves the stresses and buckling pressures are within the limits. This analysis is used to identify the weak zone and most affected area of the vehicle which helps for the modifications and remedies for underwater vehicle.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors have applied digital image processing techniques on the panchromatic images which leads them to identify roads imformation approximately from the pan-chromatic satellite images, which is useful for the creation of maps and even in different implementations such as urban and rural planning, disaster and utility management, cartographic application and various other Geographical information systems (GIS).
Abstract: Roads are the basic component for transportation. Roads play an important role in human life these days. If the navigation is accurate, the transportation will be even more easy for the humans. Every year new roads are planned and they are infornt of humans. New roads data will be taken by the satellite and updates to map. Identification of roads information from a satellite image or from a map is easy for humans but it is difficult for a computer. The images given by the CARTOSAT-2 satellite is panchromatic images. These images are usually gray-scale images. Extracting information form panchromatic images has been difficult task for the computer due to the darkness of the image. In this paper, we work for identificating roads information from the panchromatic images to reduce the difficulty to complete the task by the computer. The CARTOSAT-2 satellite data is available as per the request by the user in BHUVAN website. This site helps to provide satellite data to users those who wants to do research on images and those who wants to add missing data manually and to update the data and etc. In this attempt, we have applied digital image processing techniques on the panchromatic images which leads us to identify roads imformation approximately from the panchromatic satellite images. The proposed algorithms from image processing techniques are helpful to identify data. The identified roads information is useful for the creation of maps and even in different implementations such as urban and rural planning, disaster and utility management, cartographic application and various other Geographical Information Systems (GIS).

TL;DR: In this paper, the performance analysis of a 165 L low-pressure receiver (LPR) incorporated domestic refrigerator with Al2O3 nanoparticles dispersed in the lubricant oil was conducted.
Abstract: Decades onwards research has been going on for enhancing COP of refrigerators used for domestic needs. Here, in this work, an attempt was made to enhance COP by applying both subcooling and superheating simultaneously using LPR to VCR system. This paper studies experimentally about the performance analysis of a 165 L low-pressure receiver (LPR) incorporated domestic refrigerator with Al2O3 nanoparticles dispersed in the lubricant oil. According to the (American society of heating, refrigerating and air-conditioning engineers. Atlanta, Georgia, from the 1994 ASHRAE Handbook—Refrigeration [1]) recommendations, a suitable low-pressure receiver was designed, fabricated, and installed to 165 L capacity refrigerator in between evaporator and compressor with the Al2O3 nanoparticles dispersed in lubricant oil. The system was subjected to various loads such as 100, 150, 200, and 250 W. The performance parameters such as the compressor power, refrigeration effect, and COP are evaluated and a comparison is made between with and without LPR and nanoparticles. The investigation outcomes revealed that there is an appreciable change in the COP, i.e., 14.2% increment with addition of the Al2O3 nanoparticles to the refrigeration system with LPR. It is also found that out of four loads, the COP of LPR refrigerator with Al2O3 nanoparticles is the higher at 200 W.

TL;DR: The effect of word and other values of word in the document, which express the features of a word in a document are explored, and a significant improvement in Text categorization process is showed.
Abstract: The merits of modern web search engines that intend to access such pages limit relatively to users’ requirement relying highly on information retrieval techniques. For accessing most relevant user subject specific pages, building a categorization system that can analyse the content and present information precisely could be a good alternative. For Text Categorization, most of the researchers relied highly on trained dataset. Each trained dataset is usually large in size due to which most approximations, computations are time consuming. This makes the entire categorization system slow and inaccurate. The proposed method is novel and the number of features is used. This paper explores the effect of word and other values of word in the document, which express the features of a word in the document. The proposed features are exploited by tf-itf, position of the word and compactness. These features are combined and evaluated. The Experimental results showed a significant improvement in Text categorization process.
