TL;DR: A positive correlation between the CI and the financial ratios and the most profitable firms are more likely to spend a higher proportion of their non-interest operating expenses on IT.
Abstract: Two models were used to study the relationships between profitability and the level of information technology (IT) among long-term life insurance companies. The first compared the computerization index (CI) with profitability ratios. The second used the operating expense ratio (profitability measure) and the IT expense ratio to measure the level of IT capital intensity. The results of the present study showed a positive correlation between the CI and the financial ratios and the most profitable firms are more likely to spend a higher proportion of their non-interest operating expenses on IT.

TL;DR: Imitatio Christi is a concept which, although not referred to explicitly in the Fourth Gospel, is clearly spelled out in relation to the agency motif occurring in the Gospel as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: Imitatio Christi is a concept which, although not referred to explicitly in the Fourth Gospel, is clearly spelled out in relation to the agency motif occurring in the Gospel. The disciples of Jesus have been appointed as his agents to continue his mission after his departure to his Father. In giving this message through to his readers, the Fourth Evangelist refers to Jesus' calling of his disciples, [Foreign font omitted]; pictures Jesus as [Foreign font omitted]; uses [Foreign font omitted] (the particle of comparison) to compare the lives of the disciples with that of Jesus; points out the tasks the disciples had to perform after Jesus' ascension and, finally, indicates how Jesus dwells in his disciples through the Paraclete.

TL;DR: In this article, the most productive time establishing mechanism, namely the interrelation between tense forms and temporal adverbials, is discussed with emphasis on the mostproductive time-establishing mechanism.
Abstract: Although traditional grammars devote attention to tense as a verbal category, the category of time is disregarded in Zulu (and the other African Languages). While tense is marked in the verb structure, time is marked, apart from the influence of tense, by (i) the semantic verb phrase categorization; (ii) the speech participants' knowledge of the world; (iii) the influence of aspectual morphemes; (iv) the influence of auxiliary verbs; (v) the text and context and (vi) the interrelation between tense forms and temporal adverbials. In this article time is discussed with emphasis on the most productive time establishing mechanism, namely the interrelation between tense forms and temporal adverbials.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed the contribution and relative performance of agriculture on the Southern African subcontinent and concluded that the developed commercial agricultural sector of South Africa is the dominant force in the sub-continent's agriculture.
Abstract: This paper analyses the contribution and relative performance of agriculture on the Southern African subcontinent. Agriculture and the total economy, sectoral division of agricultural production and trends in agriculture and food production are discussed. From the analysis it is obvious that the developed commercial agricultural sector of South Africa is the dominant force in the subcontinent's agriculture. This sector is, however, at present hampered by various socio‐economic and financial problems. The paper concludes with certain policy recommendations regarding developing traditional agriculture. Potential co‐operation and interaction are also commented upon.

TL;DR: In this article, the second-order level Moller-plesset perturbation theory was used to determine the structure, interaction energies, Mulliken charges and vibrational spectra of three conformers of a 1:1 complex between boron trifluoride and carbon dioxide.
Abstract: The optimized structures, interaction energies, Mulliken charges and vibrational spectra of three conformers of a 1:1 complex between boron trifluoride and carbon dioxide have been determined by means of ab initio calculations at the second-order level of Moller-Plesset perturbation theory, using the 6-31G* basis set. All three structures feature a B⋯O electron donor-acceptor interaction. One of the structures, in which the carbon dioxide axis eclipses one of the BF bonds, was found to be a genuine minimum, one (the corresponding staggered form) a first-order saddle point and the third (a linearly bonded B⋯OCO species) a second-order transition state. The computed infrared spectrum of the preferred conformer has been used to predict the appearance of the spectrum of boron trifluoride and carbon dioxide co-deposited in cryogenic matrices, which will be reported in a forthcoming publication.
