TLDR
In this article, the authors examined the clustering of nations using different clustering methods and found divergent results in terms of reconciling these differences, the need for additional research comparing competitive and alternative interpretations of Smallest Space Analysis (SSA), and the use of independent and objective methods, e.g., cluster analysis.Abstract:
The present study examined the clustering of nations using different clustering methods. Organizational attitudes and perceptions of 1768 managers from IS Western nations employed by a multinational corporation were surveyed. Divergent results were found and are discussed in terms of reconciling these differences, the need for additional research comparing competitive and alternative interpretations of Smallest Space Analysis (SSA), and the use of independent and objective methods, e.g., cluster analysis.read more

Hierarchical Grouping to Optimize an Objective Function
TL;DR: In this paper, a procedure for forming hierarchical groups of mutually exclusive subsets, each of which has members that are maximally similar with respect to specified characteristics, is suggested for use in large-scale (n > 100) studies when a precise optimal solution for a specified number of groups is not practical.
