Abstract
A novel approach is presented to achieve nearly sinusoidal line current rectification of three-phase utility voltages by DC link current modulation. Significant benefits of this approach are: only two transistor switches are required; a regulated DC voltage is provided at the output, thus simplifying the design of the rest of the power electronics equipment; the output DC voltage, which can be quite large, is automatically shared equally by two series-connected capacitors; and the usual disadvantages of passive filters are avoided. This approach can be applied to most of the power electronics equipment with three-phase utility input, as well as to interface generation using renewable energy resources such as wind and solar power. >

Fuzzy logic control of an active power line conditioner

TL;DR: In this paper, a switch-mode active power line conditioner (APLC) that uses fuzzy logic to control the semiconductor switches is described, and a rule-based piecewise-linear fuzzy proportional-integral controller (FPIC) provides the appropriate switching pattern of the APLC to generate the actual compensation current.

Harmonic reduction in multiplex convertors by triple-frequency current injection

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe an investigation into a new method of eliminating these current harmonics at the source, this being a more fundamental method than merely suppressing their consequences, and an explanation of the fundamental action is presented, together with an analysis of the effects of triplefrequency current injection upon the harmonics generated by duplex convertor equipment.

A digitally controlled AC to DC power conditioner that draws sinusoidal input current

TL;DR: In this paper, an ac to dc power conditioner, which draws sinusoidal input current, is described and analyzed, and two control loops are used: an inner quantized-gain current program loop uses variable hysteresis to improve noise immunity, and a digital proportional-integral control provides output voltage regulation by adjusting the gain of the program loop.
