An Ensemble Learning Approach for Urban Land Use Mapping Based on Remote Sensing Imagery and Social Sensing Data

TL;DR: This article proposes an ensemble-learning-approach-based solution of integrating a rich body of features derived from high resolution satellite images, street-view images, building footprints, points-of-interest (POIs) and social media check-ins for the urban land use mapping task.

Mean shift: a robust approach toward feature space analysis

TL;DR: It is proved the convergence of a recursive mean shift procedure to the nearest stationary point of the underlying density function and, thus, its utility in detecting the modes of the density.

Clustering by fast search and find of density peaks

TL;DR: A method in which the cluster centers are recognized as local density maxima that are far away from any points of higher density, and the algorithm depends only on the relative densities rather than their absolute values.

Mining interesting locations and travel sequences from GPS trajectories

TL;DR: This work first model multiple individuals' location histories with a tree-based hierarchical graph (TBHG), and proposes a HITS (Hypertext Induced Topic Search)-based inference model, which regards an individual's access on a location as a directed link from the user to that location.
