TLDR
There is general agreement in the literature that chalcopyrite leaching is significantly affected by solution redox potential with an optimum E(h) range suggesting the participation of leach steps that involve both oxidation and reduction.About:

TL;DR: Search Minerals has developed a direct extraction process for recovery of rare earths from the Foxtrot and Deep Fox deposits in Labrador Canada as mentioned in this paper, which includes crushing, acid treatment, water leaching, impurity removal, precipitation of an intermediate rare earth product and finally refining of the intermediate product.

DFT study of ferric ion interaction with passive layer on chalcopyrite surface: Elemental sulfur, defective sulfur and replacement of M2+(M=Cu and Fe) ions
TL;DR: In this paper, the interaction of ferric ion with sulfur passive layer in different modes has been studied using studio material software and density functional theory method, and the results showed that the surface of the passive layer is insulated and does not react on this surface, but the layer can be activated by changes in the structure.

Leaching Chalcocite in Chloride Media—A Review
TL;DR: In this paper, the most optimal way to extract copper from chalcocite is, during the first stage, to work with high concentrations of chloride (50−100 g/L) and low concentrations of sulfuric acid (0.5 mol/L).

Pressure Leaching of Chalcopyrite Concentrate with Oxygen and Kinetic Study on the Process in Sulfuric Acid Solution
TL;DR: In this paper, the results showed that temperature is the most effective factor in chalcopyrite leaching, and the activation energy was calculated to be 14.19 kJ−1.

Generalized Gradient Approximation Made Simple
TL;DR: A simple derivation of a simple GGA is presented, in which all parameters (other than those in LSD) are fundamental constants, and only general features of the detailed construction underlying the Perdew-Wang 1991 (PW91) GGA are invoked.

Photoelectron spectroscopy : principles and applications
TL;DR: In this paper, the three low-index faces of a Face-Centered Cubic (fcc) Crystal Face were modeled as 3D cubic faces, and a table of binding energies was presented.
