TLDR
There is general agreement in the literature that chalcopyrite leaching is significantly affected by solution redox potential with an optimum E(h) range suggesting the participation of leach steps that involve both oxidation and reduction.About:

New understanding of the reduction mechanism of pyrolusite in the Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans bio-leaching system
TL;DR: In this article, the reductive dissolution of pyrolusite in simulated acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans bio-leaching medium was investigated, and the results of transient and steady electrochemical measurements indicated that the first electron-transfer significantly affects the rate controlling step of Mn-deletion in control(9K) medium, while using A.ferrooxids and Fe(III) in the solution tends to enable the leaching rate to be controlled by the latter electron transfer step.

Application of additive-reaction-times law to the mixed-control kinetics of oxygen leaching of chalcopyrite
York R. Smith,Hong Yong Sohn +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors apply Sohn's Law to the experimental data of oxygen leaching of chalcopyrite from ore fragments and show good agreement between the Sohn Law model and experimental data for a wide range of operating conditions examined in this study.

Synthesis of argentojarosite with simulated bioleaching solutions produced by Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans.
TL;DR: The sample synthesized in the presence of 40mM Ag(+) and with 14d contact time yielded an X-ray diffraction pattern of well crystallized argentojarosite, and its elemental composition closely matched the calculated Ag, Fe, and S contents of ideal argentoJarosite.

Low concentration of Tween-20 enhanced the adhesion and biofilm formation of Acidianus manzaensis YN-25 on chalcopyrite surface.
Guirong Su,Shuzhen Li,Xiaotao Deng,Liang Hu,Loganathan Praburaman,Zhiguo He,Zhiguo He,Hui Zhong,Wei Sun +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the role of Tween-20 in early attachment behaviors and biofilm development by Acidianus manzaensis strain YN-25 were investigated by adhesion experiments, adhesion force measurement, visualization of biofilm assays and a series of analyses including extended Derjaguin Landau Verwey Overbeek (DLVO) theory, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).

Separation mechanism of chalcopyrite and pyrite due to H2O2 treatment in low-alkaline seawater flotation system
TL;DR: The effects of H2O2 on the flotation separation of chalcopyrite and pyrite in seawater were investigated in this article , where a recovery difference of greater than 70% was obtained for chal copyrite.

Generalized Gradient Approximation Made Simple
TL;DR: A simple derivation of a simple GGA is presented, in which all parameters (other than those in LSD) are fundamental constants, and only general features of the detailed construction underlying the Perdew-Wang 1991 (PW91) GGA are invoked.

Photoelectron spectroscopy : principles and applications
TL;DR: In this paper, the three low-index faces of a Face-Centered Cubic (fcc) Crystal Face were modeled as 3D cubic faces, and a table of binding energies was presented.
