TLDR
There is general agreement in the literature that chalcopyrite leaching is significantly affected by solution redox potential with an optimum E(h) range suggesting the participation of leach steps that involve both oxidation and reduction.About:

Speciation and solubility of copper along a soil contamination gradient
TL;DR: In this paper, variations in molecular Cu bonding can explain previously reported variations in soil ecotoxicity along a Cu contamination gradient when parent material and mineralogy are similar, and this is independent of the studied contamination levels when all soil properties except NOM content are constant.

Silver iodide microstructures of a uniform towerlike shape: morphology purification via a chemical dissolution, simultaneously boosted catalytic durability, and enhanced catalytic performances.
Bin Lei,Bin Lei,Mingshan Zhu,Penglei Chen,Penglei Chen,Chuncheng Chen,Wanhong Ma,Tiesheng Li,Minghua Liu +8 more
TL;DR: It is reported that irregular AgI structures, or their mixture with towerlike AgI architectures could be fabricated and displayed not only a boosted catalytic durability but also an enhanced catalytic reactivity, and this chemical dissolution-based morphology purification protocol might be extended to other systems, wherein high-quality advanced functional materials of desired properties might be developed.

Conversion of chalcopyrite to copper oxide in hypochlorite solution for selective leaching of copper in dilute sulfuric acid solution
TL;DR: In this article, a novel oxidation route to convert chalcopyrite to tenorite for leaching of copper has been described, and the results showed that 93.8% chal copyrite was converted to 10orite at 60°C in 300min when the sparging rate was 0.69mmol/min−1 while maintaining the pulp density of 10

Leaching chalcopyrite with High MnO2 and chloride concentrations
David Torres,David Torres,Luís Ayala,Ricardo I. Jeldres,Eduardo Cerecedo-Sáenz,Eleazar Salinas-Rodríguez,Pedro Robles,Norman Toro,Norman Toro +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the dissolution of pure chalcopyrite was studied considering the use of MnO2 and wastewater with a high chloride content, and it was discovered that working at high temperatures (80 °C) the large concentrations of Mn O2 become irrelevant.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chalcopyrite leaching in novel lixiviants
TL;DR: For example, this article showed that methanesulfonic acid can extract up to 95% of chalcopyrite-hosted Cu at surface reaction-controlled rates under mildly alkaline pH with Cu2+ as oxidant, but evaporates at prohibitive rates in heap conditions.

Generalized Gradient Approximation Made Simple
TL;DR: A simple derivation of a simple GGA is presented, in which all parameters (other than those in LSD) are fundamental constants, and only general features of the detailed construction underlying the Perdew-Wang 1991 (PW91) GGA are invoked.

Photoelectron spectroscopy : principles and applications
TL;DR: In this paper, the three low-index faces of a Face-Centered Cubic (fcc) Crystal Face were modeled as 3D cubic faces, and a table of binding energies was presented.
