A review of the structure, and fundamental mechanisms and kinetics of the leaching of chalcopyrite.
TLDR
There is general agreement in the literature that chalcopyrite leaching is significantly affected by solution redox potential with an optimum E(h) range suggesting the participation of leach steps that involve both oxidation and reduction.About:

Investigation of Intermediates Evolutions during Bornite Bioleaching by Mesophilic Mixed Bacteria
TL;DR: In this article, the mesophilic mixed bacteria accelerated the dissolution process of bornite, and the evolution of intermediates during birthite dissolution was proposed: Cu5FeS4→ Cu9FeS16→CuFe2S3→CuS→Cu2+

Long-Term Leaching Effects on CaO-Modified Iron Silicate Slag
TL;DR: In this paper , the long-term leaching effects of CaO-modified granulated iron silicate slags were investigated. But, the results were limited to a 30-day period, and the CaO modifications were conducted during full-scale slag treatment operation.

Optimizing the leaching conditions of chalcopyrite/pyrite concentrate in Sarcheshmeh Copper Complex using response surface methodology
TL;DR: In this article , the leaching conditions of chalcopyrite/pyrite concentrate were optimized by sulfuric acid and hydrogen peroxide using response surface methodology (RSM).

Comparative study on biotic system and abiotic system of marmatite at high cupric ions concentration
Xin Lv,Xin Lv,Hongbo Zhao,Hongbo Zhao,Ziliang Liu,Ziliang Liu,Xiaoyu Meng,Xiaoyu Meng,Wenqing Liu,Lele Lv,Qinglei Jia,Yansheng Zhang,Yansheng Zhang,Liu Lixin,Fashang Chen,Weirong Wu +15 more
TL;DR: In this article, the behavior and mechanism of Cu2+ in marmatite biotic system and abiotic system were investigated, and it was shown that the high cupric ions concentration (5 ǫ/L) had obvious isolation both in the early stage, the barrier effect gradually disappeared in Biotic system, while polysulfides and other substances were produced.

Characteristics and Countermeasures of the Passivation Layers in Chalcopyrite Bioleaching
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors summarized the previous studies on the characteristics and the countermeasures of the passivation layers generated in chalcopyrite bioleaching, and suggested an alternative explanation that passivation result from inherent semiconductor characteristics of chal copyrite, not from the existence of any kind of coating layers.

Generalized Gradient Approximation Made Simple
TL;DR: A simple derivation of a simple GGA is presented, in which all parameters (other than those in LSD) are fundamental constants, and only general features of the detailed construction underlying the Perdew-Wang 1991 (PW91) GGA are invoked.
