Role of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) surfactant micelles on kinetics of [Zn(II)-Gly-Leu]+ and ninhydrin

TL;DR: In this paper, the role of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) surfactant micelles on kinetics of zinc-glycylleucine [Zn(II)-Gly-Leu]+ and ninhydrin has been studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of temperature and polyols on the ciprofloxacin hydrochloride-mediated micellization of sodium dodecyl sulfate

TL;DR: In this paper, a conductivity method was engaged to explore the effects of a fluoroquinolone drug, namely ciprofloxacin hydrochloride (CFH)/CFH + polyols (organic compounds with multiple hydroxyl groups (glucose and fructose)), on the aggregation phenomenon of SDS at different temperatures (298.15-318.15 K) while maintaining a gap of 5 K.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phase Separation and Thermodynamic Behavior of Triton X-100 in the Occurrence of Levofloxacin Hemihydrates: Influence of Additives

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured the clouding phenomena in Triton X-100 (TX-100) in aqueous system and the presence of the antibiotic drug levofloxacin hemihydrate (LFH)/(LFH + inorganic salts/alcohols) and explained thoroughly.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of polyethylene glycol on the aggregation/clouding phenomena of cationic and non-ionic surfactants in attendance of electrolytes (NaCl & Na2SO4): An experimental and theoretical analysis

TL;DR: In this article, multiple techniques were employed to gain an accurate and deep understanding for the interaction between synthetic polymer polyethylene glycol 400 (PEG 400) and surfactant (TTAB/Triton X-100 (TX-100)) in electrolytes or electrolytes free medium.

Intermolecular and surface forces

TL;DR: The forces between atoms and molecules are discussed in detail in this article, including the van der Waals forces between surfaces, and the forces between particles and surfaces, as well as their interactions with other forces.

Surfactants and Interfacial Phenomena

TL;DR: In this paper, the Gibbs equation is used to calculate the area per Molecule at the interface by using the Gibbs Equation (GEE) of the Gibbs equilibrium. But the Gibbs equations are not applicable to surface-active agents.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structure and design of polymeric surfactant-based drug delivery systems.

TL;DR: The review concentrates on the use of polymeric micelles as pharmaceutical carriers and the basic mechanisms underlying micelle longevity and steric protection in vivo are considered with a special emphasis on long circulating drug delivery systems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Micellization of mixed nonionic surface active agents

TL;DR: In this article, a theory for micellization in systems of mixed nonionic surfactants is developed, where assumptions of ideal mixing in the micellel and of a simple phase separation model enable the concentration of each monomeric species and hence the micellar composition to be calculated as a function of total concentration.

Surfactant Systems: Their chemistry, pharmacy and biology

TL;DR: In this paper, the phase behavior of surfactants in binary and ternary phase systems is investigated. But the authors focus on the phase behaviour of the solubilization process.
