In this paper, the authors study flat and nonflat static models obeying the Brans-Dicke theory and RW metric, including the case which considers Bertolami's time-dependent cosmological term.
Abstract
We study flat and nonflat static models obeying the Brans-Dicke theory and RW metric, including the case which considers Bertolami's time-dependent cosmological term. We find several solutions where the density remains constant, while the gravitational constant varies with time.

Early viscous universe with variable gravitational and cosmological ‘constants’

TL;DR: In this paper, a unified description of the early evolution of universe is presented with a number of possible assumptions on the bulk viscous term and cosmological constant in which an inflationary phase is followed by radiation-dominated phase.

Cosmological models with variable gravitational and cosmological “constants”

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors considered the Einstein field equations with perfect fluid source and variable Λ andG for the Robertson-Walker metric and found perfect gas equation of state models in the Euclidean and non-Euclidean cases.

Some FRW models with variable G and

TL;DR: In this article, the authors considered the field equations with G and both varying with time are considered in the context of general homogeneous, isotropic universes in a way which conserves the energy momentum tensor of the matter content.

Brans-Dicke models with time-dependent cosmological term

TL;DR: More general solutions than those presented by Bertolami are deduced in the Brans-Dicke cosmology, endowed with a time-dependent cosmological term, for a Robertson-Walker metric and a perfect fluid obeying the perfect gas law of state.

Static Universe in a Modified Brans-Dicke Cosmology

TL;DR: In this paper, a static model of the universe was derived by means of the Endo-Fukui modified Brans-Dicke theory, where density and pressure are constant, but the gravitational constant and cosmological term vary with time.

Time-dependent cosmological term

Orfeu Bertolami
- 01 May 1986 -
TL;DR: In this article, a Brans-Dicke theory with a scalar-field-dependent cosmological term is considered and solutions of the field equations in a homogeneous and isotropic space-time are obtained and discussed.
