Identification and Characterization of Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase (MAPK) Genes in Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.).

TL;DR: In this paper, a Hidden Markov Model (HMM) profile of the MAPK genes utilized reference sequences from A. annuus and G. max, yielding a total of 96 MPKs and 37 MKKs in the genomes of A. trichopoda, A. carota, D. reinhardtii, S. lycopersicum, and S. fallax.

Recent trends and advances in identification and functional characterization of plant miRNAs

TL;DR: The recent developments and current understandings about the plant miRNAs are discussed and the workflow of plant miRNA analysis is presented including modern high-precision approaches for isolation, identification, target prediction and confirmation, miRNA-target network analysis, and functional characterization of plantMiRNAs.

Unraveling the diversity of sedimentary sulfate-reducing prokaryotes (SRP) across Tibetan saline lakes using epicPCR.

TL;DR: There are still many undocumented SRP in Tibetan saline lakes, many of which could be endemic and adapted to specific environmental conditions, and the α-diversity of the entire microbial community and SRP sub-community showed significant positive correlations.

Succession of diversity, functions, and interactions of the fungal community in activated sludge under aromatic hydrocarbon stress.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the responses of the fungal community and the associations among fungal species when facing the continuous stress of two typical AHs, benzene and naphthalene, using high-throughput sequencing technology.

A fast bit-vector algorithm for approximate string matching based on dynamic programming

TL;DR: An algorithm of comparable simplicity that requires only O(kn/w) time by virtue of computing a bit representation of the relocatable dynamic programming matrix for the approximate string matching problem, and is found to be more efficient than the previous results for many choices of k and small.
