Calculating near-singular eigenvalues of the neutron transport operator with arbitrary order anisotropic scattering

TLDR
The main part of this paper is devoted to the description of how the three step procedure to calculate all discrete eigenvalues was developed, which did not wish to resort to high-precision fixed point arithmetic but would solely rely on IEEE 754 double precision arithmetic.

A Study of Diffusion Length with Triplet Anisotropic Scattering Using the PN Method

TL;DR: In this paper, the homogeneous one-speed neutron transport in plane geometry can be solved using spherical harmonics method (P N ), where the scattering function is expressed as series of the first four terms of Legendre polynomials to get appropriate solutions.
