Journal ArticleDOI

Socioeconomic inequalities in cancer survival in Scotland 1986–2000

TL;DR: Five-year survival improved for all malignancies except bladder cancer and was associated with a widening in the deprivation gap in survival, similar to the trends seen in England and Wales.
Journal ArticleDOI

Radiation therapy for unresectable soft tissue sarcomas.

TL;DR: No apparent improvement in tumor control was observed in the subsets of patients receiving fast neutron therapy or combined modality treatment with chemotherapy, but because of the many unmatched variables between the groups, no meaningful comparison of treatment modalities can be made.
Journal ArticleDOI

Estrogen and progestin receptor levels as prognosticators for survival in endometrial cancer.

TL;DR: Multivariant analysis of ER status, PR status, age, and grade showed that the ER status was a significant prognostic factor for survival, even if the positivity of the PR status was defined at greater than or equal to 50 fmole/mg cp.
Journal ArticleDOI

Long-term survival of patients with localized diffuse histiocytic lymphoma.

TL;DR: The data show an excellent outcome in patients with pathologic stage I disease, indicating that a high percentage of these cases can be cured with radiotherapy alone, and patients with clinical stage II disease might be served better with chemotherapy.
