Directional coarsening in nickel-base single crystals with high volume fractions of coherent precipitates

TL;DR: In this article, the diffusional processes responsible for rafting were investigated on the local scale of the precipitates, with preferential local dissolution of the γ′ and diffusional flow of alloying elements around the periphery of precipitates.

Rafting in superalloys

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that in the elastic regime, the thermodynamic driving force for rafting is proportional to the applied stress, to the difference between the lattice parameters of the γ matrix and the particles, and the difference of their elastic constants.

Dependence of creep strength on the interfacial dislocations in a fourth generation SC superalloy TMS-138

TL;DR: In this article, an important relation between the γ/γ ε interfacial dislocations and the minimum creep rate was found. But this was attributed to the interaction between the −γ/γ −ε interfacial dislocation and slip dislocation in the ε matrix.
