Decomposition of metastable ternary hydrides
TLDR
Most ternary hydrides are metastable and tend to decompose into the stable phases consisting of the binary hydride of the strongly hydrogen-attracting component (RH2 or RH3) and either pure M metal or an intermetallic compound of higher M content than RMn as discussed by the authors.About:

Metal-Hydride technology: A critical review
TL;DR: In this article, the first interest in metal hydride technology was initiated after the second world war for nuclear reactor applications, inasmuch as the capability of hydrogen to scatter and dissipate energy from neutrons was satisfied by the high density of hydrogen atoms stored in metal hyddrides.

A thermodynamic assessment of the La–Al system
TL;DR: In this article, an optimized description of the phase diagram and thermodynamic properties of the La-In system were obtained from the experimental phase diagram. But the system contained seven intermetallic compounds and good agreement was obtained between the calculation and experimental results.
