Enhanced seawater corrosion resistance of reinforcement in nanophase modified fly ash concrete
TLDR
In this article, a method for enhancing the corrosion resistance of reinforcements through nanophase modification of fly ash concrete is presented, which can prevent diffusion and movement of chloride ions to surface of the rebar and thereby maintain the passivity of the thin iron oxide layer around the steel rebar.About:

Chloride corrosion resistance of double-layer anticorrosive coating in simulated concrete pore solution
TL;DR: In this paper, a double-layer anti-corrosion strategy was proposed for the low carbon steel used in a chloride corrosion environment, and the results of electrochemical tests and corrosion immersion experiments showed that the super-hydrophobic surface obtained through a combination of physical and chemical modification had good corrosion resistance.

Enhanced corrosion protection of reinforcement steel with nanomaterial incorporated fly ash based cementitious coating
TL;DR: In this article, the performance of a novel nanophase modified fly ash based cement polymer coating over steel reinforcements in a corrosive environment was evaluated by impressed voltage test, which indicated that the added nano-ZrO2 significantly enhanced the corrosion performance of cementitious coatings as compared to other nanomaterials.

Effect of concrete cracks on the corrosion of headed studs in steel and concrete composite structures
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of concrete cracks on stud corrosion was investigated by measuring 3D corrosion morphologies of headed studs in concrete slabs with different concrete cover thicknesses and crack widths and depths.

TL;DR: In this paper, a linear dependence of potential on applied current is described for a corroding electrode by treating it in a manner analogous to that for a non-corroding electrode, and an equation is derived relating the slope of this linear region to the corrosion rate and Tafel slopes.

Influence of limestone on the hydration of Portland cements
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of the presence of limestone on the hydration of Portland cement was investigated, and it was shown that the stabilisation of monocarbonate in the absence of limestone indirectly stabilised ettringite, leading to a corresponding increase of the total volume of the hydrate phase and a decrease of porosity.
