TLDR
In this paper, the authors measured the flux of neutrino from distant nuclear reactors and found fewer nu;(e) events than expected from standard assumptions about nu; (e) propagation at the 99.95% C.L.yr exposure.Abstract:
KamLAND has measured the flux of nu;(e)'s from distant nuclear reactors. We find fewer nu;(e) events than expected from standard assumptions about nu;(e) propagation at the 99.95% C.L. In a 162 ton.yr exposure the ratio of the observed inverse beta-decay events to the expected number without nu;(e) disappearance is 0.611+/-0.085(stat)+/-0.041(syst) for nu;(e) energies >3.4 MeV. In the context of two-flavor neutrino oscillations with CPT invariance, all solutions to the solar neutrino problem except for the "large mixing angle" region are excluded.read more

TL;DR: Theoretical and phenomenological implications of R-parity violation in supersymmetric theories are discussed in the context of particle physics and cosmology in this paper, including the relation with continuous and discrete symmetries.

The νMSM, dark matter and baryon asymmetry of the universe
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the extension of the standard model by three right-handed neutrinos with masses smaller than the electroweak scale (the νMSM) can explain simultaneously dark matter and baryon asymmetry of the universe and be consistent with the experiments on neutrino oscillations.
Journal ArticleDOI
The shell model as a unified view of nuclear structure
TL;DR: In this article, the Lanczos tridiagonal construction has been used to diagonalize matrices in determinantal spaces of dimensionality up to 10^9 using the Shell Model.
Journal ArticleDOI
Neutrino Mass and Mixing with Discrete Symmetry
Stephen F. King,Christoph Luhn +1 more
TL;DR: This paper focuses on the PMNS mixing matrix and the latest global fits following the Daya Bay and RENO experiments which measure the reactor angle and gives a mini-review of finite group theory.
