TLDR
In this article, a technique that can be applied to more complicated molecules is presented, which can be used to map electron orbitals and provide information about the inner workings of the molecules.Abstract:
Atomic and molecular gases generate extreme ultraviolet light when excited by pulses of intense laser light. This emission provides information about the inner workings of the molecules and even enables us to map electron orbitals. However, so far molecular orbital tomography has been restricted to simple molecules. A technique that can be applied to more complicated molecules is now unveiled.read more

TL;DR: A multidimensional approach, based on the measurement and accurate theoretical description of both even and odd harmonic orders, enabled us to reconstruct both quantum amplitudes and phases of the electronic states with a resolution of ~100 attoseconds.

Anisotropic high-harmonic generation in bulk crystals
TL;DR: In this article, the authors demonstrate that high-harmonic generation in solids is sensitive to interatomic bonding and show that harmonic efficiency is enhanced for semi-classical electron trajectories that connect (avoid) neighbouring atomic sites in the crystal.

Plasma perspective on strong field multiphoton ionization.
TL;DR: During strong-field multiphoton ionization, a wave packet is formed each time the laser field passes its maximum value, and one important parameter which determines the strength of these effects is the rate at which the wave packet spreads in the direction perpendicular to the laser electric field.

Olga Smirnova,Yann Mairesse,Yann Mairesse,Serguei Patchkovskii,Nirit Dudovich,Nirit Dudovich,David M. Villeneuve,Paul B. Corkum,Misha Ivanov,Misha Ivanov +9 more
TL;DR: These findings establish high harmonic interferometry as an effective approach to resolving multi-electron dynamics with sub-Ångström spatial resolution arising from the de Broglie wavelength of the recombining electron, and attosecond temporal resolution arisen from the timescale ofThe recombination event.
