Chemical hydrogen storage material property guidelines for automotive applications

TL;DR: In this paper, a set of fluid-phase chemical hydrogen storage material property guidelines for automotive applications meeting the 2017 DOE technical targets is presented, which include kinetics, heats of reaction, fuelcell impurities, gravimetric and volumetric hydrogen storage capacities, and regeneration efficiency.

Mathematical model and simulation of gas flow through a porous medium in high breaking capacity fuses

TL;DR: In this article, a one-dimensional model to describe the gas flow and the heat transfer in high breaking capacity (HBC) fuses is presented, where the compressible Euler equations for perfect gas have been used as the basic flow model coupled with a porous medium model taking into account the mechanical interaction between the gas and the silica sand and heat transfer between hot gas and cold silica.

A gas flow method for determination of in‐plane permeability of fiber preforms

TL;DR: In this paper, a new scheme for determining the permeability of fiber preforms using gas flow is proposed, where radial propagation of the polymer into a porous medium is measured and used to determine permeability, whereas in the gas flow method, the flow rate for several different preform geometries is measured.

Two dimensional analysis of low pressure flows in the annulus region between two concentric cylinders

TL;DR: A numerical simulation of the steady two-dimensional laminar natural convection heat transfer for the gaseous low-pressure flows in the annulus region between two concentric horizontal cylinders finds that there is no consistent trend for varying the dimensionless gap spacing between the inner and the outer cylinder.

The hitran molecular database: editions of 1991 and 1992

TL;DR: The HITRAN molecular absorption database as mentioned in this paper contains line parameters for 31 species and their isotopomers that are significant for terrestrial atmospheric studies, including chlorofluorocarbons and other molecular species that are not amenable to line-by-line representation.

The Turbulent Boundary Layer

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the effect of roughness on boundary layer characteristics and showed that the wall is aerodynamically smooth for a turbulent boundary layer if the roughness elements are so small as to be buried in the laminar sublayer.

Heat Transfer from Tubes in Crossflow

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss the heat transfer and the hydraulic resistance of single tubes, and the banks of tubes of various arrangements in flows of gases and viscous liquids, and highlight the influence of the physical properties of fluids on heat transfer.
