Unsteady behaviour of a twin entry radial turbine under engine like inlet flow conditions
Mahfoudh Cerdoun,Adel Ghenaiet +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors characterize the flows of a twin-entry radial turbine and the development of Dean vortices in its asymmetrical volute, as well as examine the hysteresis-like behavior under engine like inlet flow conditions.

Homotopy Perturbation Method for Creeping Flow of Non-Newtonian Power-Law Nanofluid in a Nonuniform Inclined Channel with Peristalsis
TL;DR: In this paper, an analytic discussion for the motion of power-law nanofluid with heat transfer under the effect of viscous dissipation, radiation, and internal heat generation is presented.

Numerical study of heat transfer and flow characteristic of twisted tube with different cross section shapes
TL;DR: In this paper, a three dimensional numerical study is conducted to investigate the heat transfer and flow characteristics of twisted tubes of different cross-section shapes with the Reynolds number ranging from 50 to 2000.

Numerical modeling of annular electromagnetic stirring with intercooling in direct chill casting of 7005 aluminum alloy billet
Yajun Luo,Zhifeng Zhang +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a numerical model of the UDC casting process was developed and used to simulate the casting process for preparing 7005 aluminum alloy billets, and the results indicated that flow patterns, temperature profiles and the sump depth are modified remarkably by the application of annular electromagnetic stirring and intercooling during the direct chill casting.

The Turbulent Boundary Layer
TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the effect of roughness on boundary layer characteristics and showed that the wall is aerodynamically smooth for a turbulent boundary layer if the roughness elements are so small as to be buried in the laminar sublayer.

Heat Transfer from Tubes in Crossflow
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss the heat transfer and the hydraulic resistance of single tubes, and the banks of tubes of various arrangements in flows of gases and viscous liquids, and highlight the influence of the physical properties of fluids on heat transfer.
