Hydrogen production from steam reforming of simulated bio-oil over Ce–Ni/Co catalyst with in continuous CO2 capture

TL;DR: In this article, a steam reforming of the simulated bio-oil over the CeNi/Co catalyst supported on Al 2 O 3 balls was performed, and the optimal results for hydrogen production were obtained at 700°C, the S/C ratio of 9 and the L s HSV of 0.23h −1, with the actual hydrogen yield of 83.8% and the H 2 (+CO+CH 4 ) yield of 94.1%.

Progress in low temperature hydrogen production with simultaneous CO2 abatement

TL;DR: In this article, a new process has been proposed and investigated for low temperature hydrogen production from hydrocarbons with simultaneous CO2 abatement, based on a concept involving simultaneous hydrogen production and CO2 removal, which uses a stationary catalyst phase and a continuously moving adsorbent phase for in situ removal of CO2 and ex situ regeneration of adsorbents.

Transient response of a packed bed for thermal energy storage

TL;DR: In this paper, an analysis of the transient response of a packed bed thermal storage unit is presented, in two-spatial dimensions and considering the influence of both axial and radial thermal dispersion for an arbitrary time and radial variation in the inlet fluid temperature.

Particle-to-fluid heat and mass transfer in packed beds of fine particles

TL;DR: In this article, a simple model on heat or mass transfer between solids and flowing fluid in packed beds is applied, and experimental data of both Nusselt and Sherwood numbers reported in the previous literatures are interpreted theoretically in the range of low Peclet number.

Heat transfer of gas flow through a packed bed

TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental study of both the transient and steady-state heat transfer behavior of a gas flowing through a packed bed under the constant wall temperature conditions is presented. But the results reveal a large temperature drop at the wall region and the temperature drop depends on the axial distance from the inlet, whereas the wall-fluid heat transfer coefficient is better represented by the Li-Finlayson correlation.
