Profiling and integrated analysis of transcriptional addiction gene expression and prognostic value in hepatocellular carcinoma
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors analyzed the possibility that transcriptional addiction-related genes play a significant role in HCC, and they identified 38 genes, and most were differentially expressed genes.

Global Cancer Statistics 2020: GLOBOCAN Estimates of Incidence and Mortality Worldwide for 36 Cancers in 185 Countries.
Hyuna Sung,Jacques Ferlay,Rebecca L. Siegel,Mathieu Laversanne,Isabelle Soerjomataram,Ahmedin Jemal,Freddie Bray +6 more
TL;DR: The GLOBOCAN 2020 estimates of cancer incidence and mortality produced by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) as mentioned in this paper show that female breast cancer has surpassed lung cancer as the most commonly diagnosed cancer, with an estimated 2.3 million new cases (11.7%), followed by lung cancer, colorectal (11 4.4%), liver (8.3%), stomach (7.7%) and female breast (6.9%), and cervical cancer (5.6%) cancers.

Histone deacetylases (HDACs): characterization of the classical HDAC family
Annemieke J.M. de Ruijter,Albert H. van Gennip,Huib N. Caron,Stephan Kemp,André B.P. van Kuilenburg +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a comprehensive overview of the structure, function and tissue distribution of members of the classical histone deacetylase (HDAC) family, in order to gain insight into the regulation of gene expression through HDAC activity is presented.

The role of histone deacetylases (HDACs) in human cancer
Santiago Ropero,Manel Esteller +1 more
TL;DR: Altered expression and mutations of genes that encode HDACs have been linked to tumor development since they both induce the aberrant transcription of key genes regulating important cellular functions such as cell proliferation, cell‐cycle regulation and apoptosis.
