Local Poisson SPH For Viscous Incompressible Fluids

TL;DR: This paper presents a local Poisson SPH (LPSPH) method to solve incompressibility for particle based fluid simulation that can effectively eliminate the large density deviations mainly caused by the solid boundary treatment and free surface topological change, and show advantage of a higher convergence rate over the predictive‐corrective incompressible SPH.

Incompressible smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulation of multifluid flows

TL;DR: In this article, an incompressible SPH (ISPH) method is proposed to simulate multilinear flows, which can treat free surfaces and multi-interfaces in a simple and efficient manner.

Space potential particles to enhance the stability of projection-based particle methods

TL;DR: In this paper, a simple and effective scheme as a free-surface boundary condition of projection-based particle methods, namely the MPS (moving particle semi-implicit) and Incompressible SPH (ISPH) methods, is presented to handle the free surface with consistency in volume conservation.

Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics: Approximate zero-consistent 2-D boundary conditions and still shallow-water tests

TL;DR: In this paper, an approximate modified virtual boundary particle method (MVBP) for solid boundary conditions in a two-dimensional smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) model is presented; this is a development of the original VBP method recently proposed by Ferrari et al. The method is also demonstrated for the dynamic case of a circular dam break interacting with an outer circular wall where conventional mirror particles fail to prevent particles passing through the solid wall.

MLPG_R Method for Numerical Simulation of 2D Breaking Waves

TL;DR: In this article, the Meshless Local Petrov-Galerin method based on Rankine source solution (MLPG_R) was extended to deal with breaking waves and a new technique called Mixed Particle Number Density and Auxiliary Function Method (MPAM) was suggested for identifying the free surface particles.

Volume of fluid (VOF) method for the dynamics of free boundaries

TL;DR: In this paper, the concept of a fractional volume of fluid (VOF) has been used to approximate free boundaries in finite-difference numerical simulations, which is shown to be more flexible and efficient than other methods for treating complicated free boundary configurations.

Numerical Calculation of Time‐Dependent Viscous Incompressible Flow of Fluid with Free Surface

TL;DR: In this paper, a new technique is described for the numerical investigation of the time-dependent flow of an incompressible fluid, the boundary of which is partially confined and partially free The full Navier-Stokes equations are written in finite-difference form, and the solution is accomplished by finite-time step advancement.

Smoothed particle hydrodynamics.

TL;DR: In this paper, the theory and application of Smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) since its inception in 1977 are discussed, focusing on the strengths and weaknesses, the analogy with particle dynamics and the numerous areas where SPH has been successfully applied.
