TLDR
In this article, high-order harmonic generation for molecules in linearly polarized laser pulses by numerical solution of the Schr\"odinger equation was studied and maxima and minima due to intramolecular interference were found in the dependence of the harmonic intensities on the internuclear distance and on the orientation of the molecules.
Abstract
We study high-order harmonic generation for ${\mathrm{H}}_{2}^{+}$ and ${\mathrm{H}}_{2}$ model molecules in linearly polarized laser pulses by numerical solution of the Schr\"odinger equation. Maxima and minima due to intramolecular interference are found in the dependence of the harmonic intensities on the internuclear distance and on the orientation of the molecules. These extrema can be approximately predicted by regarding them as the result of interference between two radiating point sources located at the positions of the nuclei.

Influence of dynamic core-electron polarization on the structural minimum in high-order harmonics of CO 2 molecules

TL;DR: In this paper, the laser-induced dynamic core-electron polarization (DCEP) was shown to affect the high-order harmonic generation (HHG) through a different mechanism, which suppressed the distortion of the laser field on the highest occupied molecular orbital during the recombination phase, thus partially recovering the HOMO symmetry.

Edge-state and bulklike laser-induced correlation effects in high-harmonic generation from a linear chain

TL;DR: In this paper, the significance of laser-induced correlation effects for high-order harmonic generation (HHG) in a linear chain model of a generic band gap material for both single IR-pulse and VUV-pump--IR-probe HHG schemes was explored.

Theoretical studies of high-harmonic generation based on the Keldysh Faisal Reiss theory

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the Keldysh-Faisal-Reiss (KFR) approach to study the process of high-harmonic generation for hydrogen and helium atoms and a hydrogen molecule.
