In this article, high-order harmonic generation for molecules in linearly polarized laser pulses by numerical solution of the Schr\"odinger equation was studied and maxima and minima due to intramolecular interference were found in the dependence of the harmonic intensities on the internuclear distance and on the orientation of the molecules.Abstract:
We study high-order harmonic generation for ${\mathrm{H}}_{2}^{+}$ and ${\mathrm{H}}_{2}$ model molecules in linearly polarized laser pulses by numerical solution of the Schr\"odinger equation. Maxima and minima due to intramolecular interference are found in the dependence of the harmonic intensities on the internuclear distance and on the orientation of the molecules. These extrema can be approximately predicted by regarding them as the result of interference between two radiating point sources located at the positions of the nuclei.read more

Chirp control on molecular harmonic generation and distribution in H2
Liqiang Feng,Hang Liu +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the effect of chirps on the molecular harmonic emission and distribution in H2+ and showed that with the introduction of the up-chirped pulse, the intensities of the higher harmonics are decreased; while with the upchirping pulse, and with the down chirping pulses, the higher harmonic intensities can be enhanced.

Propagation time and nondipole contributions to intraband high-order harmonic generation
TL;DR: In this article , the authors identify two connected effects in intraband high-order harmonic generation (HHG): propagation time from the point of emission at the source to point of detection, and beyond-electric-dipole corrections to the light-matter interaction.
