Ionic liquids as green and sustainable steel corrosion inhibitors: Recent developments
TLDR
In this paper, a brief outline of recent achievements on ionic liquids as steel corrosion inhibitors is given, and the influence of the ionic liquid composition (i.e. alkyl tail length, the presence of polar and non-polar substituents in cation and anion) as well as its concentration, and also temperature and nature of the medium on the steel anti-corrosion performance is discussed.About:

Novel sucrose derivative as a thermally stable inhibitor for mild steel corrosion in 15% HCl medium: An experimental and computational study
Alireza Rahimi,Abdolreza Farhadian,Avni Berisha,Alireza Shaabani,Mikhail A. Varfolomeev,Valbonë Mehmeti,Xiankang Zhong,Samira Yousefzadeh,Richard Djimasbe +8 more
TL;DR: In this article , a thermally stable inhibitor (SDCI) was proposed for mild steel in a 15% HCl medium, which exhibited a good thermal stability and its molecular structure was stable up to 420 K. Temperature effects on the inhibition activity of SDCI were investigated using electrochemical tests at 303 K, 323 K, 343 K, and 363 K, which was supported by a comprehensive computational study.
