TLDR
In this paper, a theoretical model for ionic transport phenomena in such super ionic conductors is presented based on the hypothesis that there exists in the ionic conductor an energy gap ϵ0 above which ions of mass M, belonging to the conducting species, can be thermally excited from localized ionic states to free-ion like states in which an ion propagates throughout the solid with a velocity vm and energy ϵ m = 1 2 M v m 2.

Influence of Lattice Polarizability on the Ionic Conductivity in the Lithium Superionic Argyrodites Li6PS5X (X = Cl, Br, I)

TL;DR: These results show that the lattice softness has a striking influence on the ionic transport: the softer bonds lower the activation barrier and simultaneously decrease the prefactor of the moving ion.

Quantum Dielectric Theory of Electronegativity in Covalent Systems. III. Pressure-Temperature Phase Diagrams, Heats of Mixing, and Distribution Coefficients

TL;DR: In this paper, a two-band model was proposed to describe and predict the ionization potentials and electronic interband gaps of binary compounds and their alloys, and a revised method of calculating the excess heat of mixing of a substitutional alloy was presented.

AgI-type solid electrolytes

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the defect energy required for the formation of a defect pair greatly exceeds the thermal energy, kBT, in a typical ionic crystal, and the same is true of the ionic conductivity.
