Structure and Electrochemistry of Copper Fluoride Nanocomposites Utilizing Mixed Conducting Matrices

TL;DR: In this article, a nanocomposite consisting of 2−30 nm domains of CuF2 within a mixed ionic + electronic conducting matrix of a metal oxide was used to enable the enablement of the anhydrous positive electrode materials for lithium batteries.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interpreting and controlling the structures of six-coordinate copper(II) centres – When is a compression really a compression?

TL;DR: Inverse or quenched Jahn-Teller effects in copper(II) compounds in fact reflect a normal Jahn−Teller-elongated configuration that is masked by structural disorder as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Profile analysis of powder neutron diffraction data: Its scope, limitations, and applications in solid state chemistry

TL;DR: Profile analysis of powder neutron diffraction data is reviewed in this paper, and some recent examples are described in detail, including Fourier analysis, profile refinement of X-ray data, and pulsed neutron sources.
Journal ArticleDOI

In situ X-ray absorption spectroscopic investigation of the electrochemical conversion reactions of CuF2–MoO3 nanocomposite

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used X-ray absorption spectroscopy at the Cu K-edge to investigate the electrochemical conversion reaction of 20nm size 85% CuF2−15% MoO3 nanocomposite under in situ conditions.

Neutron diffraction studies of antiferromagnetism in manganous fluoride and some isomorphous compounds

TL;DR: In this paper, the magnetic moments are aligned along the tetragonal axis in all cases except Ni${\mathrm{F}}_{2}$ where the alignment direction makes an angle of about 10 degrees relative to the $c$ axis.

Crystal and magnetic structure of silver difluoride. I. Determination of the AgF2 structure

TL;DR: The orthorhombic structure of AgF 2 has been determined from X-ray data using Patterson methods and refined by least squares with two different sets of measurements to R = 0·043 and 0·066 respectively as discussed by the authors.
