TLDR
MAP-MRI represents a new comprehensive framework to model the three-dimensional q-space MR signal and transform it into diffusion propagators, and provides several novel, quantifiable parameters that capture previously obscured intrinsic features of nervous tissue microstructure.

Diffusion sampling schemes: A generalized methodology with nongeometric criteria

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors show that geometrical criteria for designing multishell q$$ q $$ ‐space sampling procedures do not necessarily translate into reconstruction matrices with high figures of merit commonly used in the compressed sensing theory.

On using signal magnitude in diffusion magnetic resonance measurements of restricted motion.

TL;DR: Information loss from magnitude utilization is demonstrated by numerically simulating particles undergoing diffusion near a fully reflective infinite wall and an orthogonal corner and showing that the loss of the Hermitian property when using signal magnitude impedes DW–MR from accurately inferring microstructural information in both the geometries.

Altered mean apparent propagator-based microstructure and the corresponding functional connectivity of the parahippocampus and thalamus in Crohn’s disease

TL;DR: Preliminary evidence is provided that structural abnormalities in the parahippocampal gyrus (PHG) and thalamus, as well as decreased FC between them, may reflect the degree of inflammatory of the disease and serve as brain biomarkers for evaluating CD activity.

High-resolution MAP-MRI reveals cortical area specic laminar patterns observed with histological staining

TL;DR: In this article , the sensitivity of high-resolution MAP-MRI to distinguish cortical architectonic features by directly comparing laminar patterns in whole-brain volumes of MAP-derived parameters to the corresponding histological sections in the same macaque monkey brain was investigated.

Diffusion propagator metrics are biased when simultaneous multi-slice acceleration is used

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of SMS acceleration on the accuracy of propagator metrics obtained from the MAP-MRI technique was investigated, and the results showed significant differences with respect to SMS-2 and SMS-3.

Compressed sensing

TL;DR: It is possible to design n=O(Nlog(m)) nonadaptive measurements allowing reconstruction with accuracy comparable to that attainable with direct knowledge of the N most important coefficients, and a good approximation to those N important coefficients is extracted from the n measurements by solving a linear program-Basis Pursuit in signal processing.

Spin diffusion measurements : spin echoes in the presence of a time-dependent field gradient

TL;DR: In this article, a derivation of the effect of a time-dependent magnetic field gradient on the spin-echo experiment, particularly in the presence of spin diffusion, is given.

Solving least squares problems

TL;DR: Since the lm function provides a lot of features it is rather complicated so it is going to instead use the function lsfit as a model, which computes only the coefficient estimates and the residuals.
