One novel and unprecedented one-dimensional zinc coordination polymer with a N,O-donor chelating phenolic ligand, 3-n-butyl-2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-3H-benzimidazole: synthesis, structure, characterization, photoluminescence and theoretical calculations

TL;DR: In this article, a 1D zinc coordination polymer with an unsymmetrical N,O-donor phenolic ligand, [Zn(bpbm)2]n (1) (Hbpbm−, as μ2-bridging, adopt uncommon (O,N)-bridging poly(oligo)merization coordination mode, and not the common O-branching poly(oline)merisation coordination mode), and the photoluminescent property is assigned to π→π∗ ligand-to-ligand charge

Heat capacities and molar enthalpies and entropies of fusion for anhydrous 1,10-phenanthroline and 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline

TL;DR: In this article, heat capacities of solid anhydrous 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) and 2,9dimethyl-1,10phenanthropoietin (dmphen) were determined by differential scanning calorimetry using the three-step method over the temperature range from 298-K to about 5-K (for phen) and 40-K below their melting temperatures.

Deconvolving Contributions to Decoherence in Molecular Electron Spin Qubits: A Dynamic Ligand Field Approach.

TL;DR: In this article, the spin-spin, motional, and spin-phonon regimes of decoherence are delineated, outlining design principles for each, and dynamic ligand field models are used to provide insights into the intramolecular vibrational contributions in the spin phonon regime.
