TLDR
In this paper, a negative binomial regression (NBR) model was applied to examine the difference between the number of people infected with the novel coronavirus (NCOV-2019) and deaths in China.

Evaluating green innovation and performance of financial development: mediating concerns of environmental regulation

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors measured the relationship between green innovation and the performance of financial development by using an econometric estimation during the year of 2000 to 2018 in 28 Chinese provinces.
Journal ArticleDOI

Natural resources and financial development: Role of business regulations in testing the resource-curse hypothesis in ASEAN countries

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors examined the financial resource curse hypothesis by scrutinizing the linkage between financial development and natural resources rent from 1984 to 2018, and the cross-sectional augmented ARDL model was used for analysis purposes.
Journal ArticleDOI

How energy insecurity leads to energy poverty? Do environmental consideration and climate change concerns matters

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a measurement and analysis of G7 countries' energy, economic, social, and environmental performance associated with energy poverty indexes using data envelopment analysis (DEA).
Journal ArticleDOI

How external debt led to economic growth in South Asia: A policy perspective analysis from quantile regression

TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the relationship between external debt and economic growth in the South Asian region and showed that gross capital formation and trade openness have a positive effect on economic growth.

Incidence of COVID-19 and Connections with Air Pollution Exposure: Evidence from the Netherlands

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the relationship between exposure to particulate matter and COVID-19 incidence in 355 municipalities in the Netherlands and found that atmospheric particulate matters with diameter less than 2.5 are a highly significant predictor of the number of confirmed COVID19 cases and related hospital admissions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Containment measures limit environmental effects on COVID-19 early outbreak dynamics.

TL;DR: It is shown that during the earliest phase of the global outbreak, COVID-19 growth rates were non-linearly related to climate, with fastest spread in regions with a mean temperature of ca.

The impact trilemma of energy prices, taxation, and population on industrial and residential greenhouse gas emissions in Europe.

TL;DR: The paper establishes a theoretical framework that predicts that rising energy prices and increased energy taxes will reduce residential and industrial GHG emissions, and it is expected that the labor force will have an impact on industrial greenhouse gas emissions depending on wages elasticity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Environmental impact of national and subnational carbon policies in China based on a multi-regional dynamic CGE model.

TL;DR: This study constructs a multi-regional dynamic computable general equilibrium (CGE) model to assess the impacts of national and subnational carbon polices on CO2 emissions and co-emitted air pollutants from 2020 to 2050 and suggests that regional carbon policy is effective in reducing CO2 and air pollutant emissions in the targeted regions and extending the spatial coverage or increasing policy stringency can largely inhibit emissions leakage.
