Normalizing emotion in organizations: Making the extraordinary seem ordinary
TL;DR: The authors define normalizing as institutionalized processes by which extraordinary situations are rendered seemingly ordinary, and discuss four means of normalizing: diffusing, where undesired emotions are dissipated or their impact is reduced; reframing, where emotions or the situation are recast such that the emotions are forestalled, redefined, or rendered more acceptable; adaptation, where repeated exposure to a situation reduces its emotional impact; and ritualism, where the enactment of standardized procedures provides a sense of control and a momentum of means.

Cultural influences on informal information sharing in Chinese and Anglo-American organizations: an exploratory study
TL;DR: This paper examined cultural factors which may facilitate or impede the sharing of informal information in the context of face-to-face meetings in Chinese compared to Anglo-American organizations and found that individual differences, individual assertiveness, and corporate culture in influencing informal information sharing in Australia; and the trade-off between collective interests, respect for hierarchical status and concern with face in Taiwan.
