On the field validation of α-μ fading coefficients estimator based on the autocorrelation function for ionospheric amplitude scintillation

TLDR
A new method for the estimation of the α-μ coefficients based on theα-μ autocorrelation function is proposed, validated using field data and comparing the results from empirical autoc orrelation function with the results obtained from the moment-based estimator.

A noise reduction method based on adaptive weighted symplectic geometry decomposition and its application in early gear fault diagnosis

TL;DR: An adaptive weighted symplectic geometry decomposition (AWSGD) method is proposed for noise reduction, which is adaptive without setting parameters manually and can avoid the defect of the traditional noise reduction method by energy size.

Effects of the vertical plasma drift velocity on the generation and evolution of equatorial spread F

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used radar observations from the Jicamarca Observatory from 1968 to 1992 to study the effects of the F region vertical plasma drift velocity on the generation and evolution of equatorial spread F.

The $\alpha$ - $\mu$ Distribution: A Physical Fading Model for the Stacy Distribution

TL;DR: A fading model is introduced, which explores the nonlinearity of the propagation medium and derives the corresponding fading distribution-the alpha-mu distribution-which is in fact a rewritten form of the Stacy (generalized Gamma) distribution.
