Potential impact of process parameters upon the bacterial diversity in the mesophilic anaerobic digestion of beet silage
TLDR
A controlled anaerobic fermentation of beet silage, only initially inoculated with manure, was monitored by the amplified "ribosomal DNA" restriction analysis, finding that species distribution patterns for Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes, Synergistetes and Thermotogae were not clearly linked to process parameters.About:

Biogas Upgrading via Hydrogenotrophic Methanogenesis in Two-Stage Continuous Stirred Tank Reactors at Mesophilic and Thermophilic Conditions
TL;DR: The increase of hydrogenotrophic methanogens and syntrophic Desulfovibrio and the decrease of aceticlastic methanogen indicate a H2-mediated shift toward the hydrogenot microscopic pathway enhancing biogas upgrading.

TL;DR: This study dissects the bioma involved in anaerobic digestion by means of high throughput Illumina sequencing, disclosing nearly one million genes and extracting 106 microbial genomes by a novel strategy combining two binning processes, establishing a reference catalog of biogas microbial genomes that will greatly simplify future genomic studies.

Microbial community structures and functions of wastewater treatment systems in plateau and cold regions.
TL;DR: Investigation of microbial communities of plateau WWTPs showed that microbial diversities and richness were negatively associated with the altitude and positively to the water temperature to a certain extent, and functional genera and enzymes showed that there was no significant difference in abundances of organic degrading bacteria.

TL;DR: It is shown that once the replicate reactors are confronted with sub-optimal conditions, their microbial populations start to evolve differentially and the replacement of the dominant Methanosaeta sp.

TL;DR: This study is the first study applying protein-SIP for analysis of complex biogas samples, a promising method for identifying key microorganisms utilizing specific pathways and revealed that Methanosarcina and Methanoculleus were actively involved in acetate turnover, as were five subspecies of Clostridia.
