Pseudogap and Fermi arc in kappa-type organic superconductors
TLDR

The quasiparticle spectra of the Hubbard model on the anisotropic triangle lattice at half filling is studied using the cluster perturbation theory and applied to the organic superconductor kappa-(BEDT-TTF)(2)X. We find that a d(x2-y2)-wave-like pseudogap phase emerges in the intermediate-coupling regime. Near the critical line of the Mott insulating transition, the Fermi surface becomes segmented with a Fermi arc, due to the partial opening of the Mott gap along the Fermi surface. The pseudogap with the Fermi arc is shown to be a precursor to the Mott insulator.read more

TL;DR: This work investigates the doping asymmetry of an organic Mott insulator by carrying out electric-double-layer transistor measurements and using cluster perturbation theory, and predicts strongly anisotropic suppression of the spectral weight and a relatively uniform spectral weight results in the emergence of a non-interacting-like Fermi surface (FS) in the electron-doped state.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the metallization of 1T-TaS_{2} can be also realized without breaking the long-range CDW order upon surface alkali doping, and it is suggested that the appearance of the in-gap excitations near the lower Hubbard band is mainly due to the effectively reduced on-site Coulomb energy by the adsorbed alkali ions.
