Quantification of veterinary antibiotics (sulfonamides and trimethoprim) in animal manure by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry.

TLDR
A fast and cost effective method was developed to extract and quantify residues of veterinary antimicrobial agents (antibiotics) in animal manure by liquid-liquid extraction and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, which revealed total sulfonamide concentrations of up to 20 mg/kg liquid manure.

Screening of Human Antibiotic Substances and Determination of Weekly Mass Flows in Five Sewage Treatment Plants in Sweden

TL;DR: Analysis of the weekly mass flows through each STP showed that FQs were partly eliminated from the water during sewage water treatment and the highest amounts of these substances were found in sludge, indicating that they too can withstand sewageWater treatment.

Determination of antibiotics in different water compartments via liquid chromatography-electrospray tandem mass spectrometry.

TL;DR: For the determination of 18 antibiotics in water samples down to the lower ng/l range, an analytical multi method is presented and mean recovery rates were in excess of 70%, however, with one exception and a quantitation limit was set.
