TLDR
The 90 degrees (1H) pulse length can be determined in a single scan using a simple homo-gated decoupling/nutation experiment and it is shown that the method is fast, accurate and readily amenable to automation.

Benzoyl Halides as Alternative Precursors for the Colloidal Synthesis of Lead-Based Halide Perovskite Nanocrystals.

TL;DR: It is shown here that benzoyl halides can be efficiently used as halide sources to be injected in a solution of metal cations for the synthesis of APbX3 NCs, and it is possible to independently tune the amount of both cations and halide precursors in the synthesis.

α-ketoglutarate coordinates carbon and nitrogen utilization via enzyme I inhibition

TL;DR: It is found in Escherichia coli that a sudden increase in nitrogen availability results in an almost immediate increase in glucose uptake, and quantitative modeling shows that this previously unidentified regulatory connection is in principle sufficient to coordinate carbon and nitrogen utilization.

Feline coronavirus drug inhibits the main protease of SARS-CoV-2 and blocks virus replication

TL;DR: GC373 and GC376 are potent inhibitors of SARS-CoV-2 in cell culture, with EC50 values near one micromolar and little to no toxicity and the framework for their use in human trials for the treatment of COVID-19 is laid.

How the 1D‐NOESY suppresses solvent signal in metabonomics NMR spectroscopy: An examination of the pulse sequence components and evolution

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the mechanisms by which the 1D-NOESY suppresses solvent signals and detail the pulse sequence's components in terms of function, phase cycle, and performance.

Solvent peak saturation with single phase and quadrature fourier transformation

TL;DR: In this paper, the saturation of a solvent peak is, in most cases, the best method of reducing the dynamic range of a free induction decay from a solution of low concentration, and the factors involved in obtaining a reduction of the order of a thousandfold are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of Rotating Magnetic Fields on Free-Induction Decay Shapes

TL;DR: In this paper, the behavior of a set of particles in a rotating magnetic field is analyzed to determine how the lengthening of a nuclear magnetic resonance free- induction decay might occur, and the effect of pulse length on the subsequent free-induction decay was carried out for gypsum, calcium fluoride, and ice.

NMR nutation spectroscopy: A method for determining molecular geometry in amorphous solids

TL;DR: In this article, a measurement of the carbon-carbon bond length in acetic acid at −190 °C is described and illustrated with a NMR technique for direct determination of internuclear distances in amorphous solids, which is sufficiently close to the x-ray value of 1.478 °A to confirm the effectiveness of the overall approach.

Application of real time digital filters in NMR spectroscopy

TL;DR: This article is an introduction to the concept of digital filters, which allows us to overcome problems such as baseline distortion in the NMR spectrum due to nonperfect phase response of any common analog antialiasing filter.
