Journal ArticleDOI

Asymmetric organocatalysis combined with metal catalysis: concept, proof of concept, and beyond.

TL;DR: The robustness of combined organo/metal catalysis in the creation of efficient enantioselective transformations is demonstrated to demonstrate the effectiveness of asymmetric organo-metal combined catalysis for unknown organic transformations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Metal–organic frameworks as solid catalysts for the synthesis of nitrogen-containing heterocycles

TL;DR: The present review has focused on reports describing the use of MOFs as catalysts for the synthesis of N-containing heterocycles that is a class of organic compounds with high added value due to their therapeutic use as drugs and their remarkable biological activities.
Journal ArticleDOI

Controlling ZIF-8 nano- and microcrystal formation and reactivity through zinc salt variations

TL;DR: In this article, a simple method for controlling the crystal size and morphology of zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) nanocrystals in methanol solution was reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Regioselective Introduction of Heteroatoms at the C-8 Position of Quinoline N-Oxides: Remote C–H Activation Using N-Oxide as a Stepping Stone

TL;DR: Mechanistic study of the amidation revealed that the unique regioselectivity is achieved through the smooth formation of N-oxide-chelated iridacycle and that an acid additive plays a key role in the rate-determining protodemetalation step.

Comprehensive Heterocyclic Chemistry II

TL;DR: In this article, the CHEC III is organized in 15 volumes and closely follows the organization used in the previous edition: Volumes 1 and 2: Cover respectively three and four-membered heterocycles, together with all fused systems containing a three- or four-measured heterocyclic ring.
Book

Handbook of heterocyclic chemistry

TL;DR: The Handbook of Heterocyclic Chemistry as discussed by the authors has been updated with over 50% new content, including a new expanded author team, who have carefully distilled essential information on the reactivity, structure and synthesis of heterocycles.
Journal ArticleDOI

New Conjugated Polymers with Donor−Acceptor Architectures: Synthesis and Photophysics of Carbazole−Quinoline and Phenothiazine−Quinoline Copolymers and Oligomers Exhibiting Large Intramolecular Charge Transfer

TL;DR: In this article, a donor-acceptor conjugated copolymer and a corresponding oligomer were synthesized and their solution and solid-state photophysics were investigated, and their optical band gaps were 2.35−2.64 eV.
Journal ArticleDOI

A New Series of PDGF Receptor Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors: 3-Substituted Quinoline Derivatives

TL;DR: A series of 63 3-substituted quinoline derivatives has been prepared and tested for inhibition of cell-free platelet derived growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase activity and the presence of 6,7-dimethoxy groups on the quin Caroline ring was found to be advantageous although not essential for potent inhibition of PDGF-RTK.
