Remanufacturing for the Circular Economy: An Examination of Consumer Switching Behavior
TLDR
This article found that consumers have a poor opinion of remanufactured products and are typically not prepared to adopt them, which is an important moderating factor predicting consumer switching behavior to remanufacturing products.Abstract:
For the circular economy to be tenable, consumers need to not only return products after use, but also purchase products that are remanufactured. However, research finds that consumers have a poor opinion of remanufactured products and are typically not prepared to adopt them. Thus, development of the circular economy is dependent upon deeper understanding of consumers’ attitudes and behaviors. Research typically considers either micro-level or macro-level factors when assessing consumer perceptions of remanufactured products. The current research incorporates macro-level factors of price, government incentives and environmental benefits with the moderating influence of micro-level consumer attitudes to examine consumers’ intention to switch from purchasing new products to remanufactured products. The findings suggest that a consumer's attitude toward remanufactured products is an important moderating factor predicting consumer switching behavior to remanufactured products. Green behaviour and switching intention towards remanufactured products in sustainable consumers as potential earlier adopters
TL;DR: For sustainable consumers, green purchase behavior and attitude towards remanufactured products have a significant effect on their switching intention as mentioned in this paper, which is the first study to introduce green purchase behaviour to predict sustainable consumers' switching intention.

Asymmetrical modelling to understand purchase intention towards remanufactured products in the circular economy and a closed-loop supply chain: An empirical study in Malaysia
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors used Stimulus Organism Response (SOR) theory to explain purchase intention towards remanufactured products and investigated the impacts of environmental consciousness, government interference, sellers reputation, perceived environmental benefit, perceived knowledge, and perceived risk on intention to purchase remanufacture products through subjective norms, attitudes, and perception behavioural control.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors explore how barriers integrate solutions to face barriers or obstacles in the company and whether this brings a competitive advantage, and the results suggest that absolute barriers emerge as an extreme theoretical reference of minor occurrence in practice (outliers).

Evaluating the circular supply chain adoption in manufacturing sectors: A picture fuzzy approach
TL;DR: In this article , a picture fuzzy SWARA-COPRAS framework was used to assess the manufacturing sectors concerning circular supply chain management indicators, and the results indicated that waste reduction was the most influential indicator followed by circular supplier selection.

Estimating Nonresponse Bias in Mail Surveys
TL;DR: This article used subjective estimates and extrapolations in an analysis of mail survey data from published studies for estimates of the magnitude of bias and found that the use of extrapolation led to substantial improvements over a strategy of not using extrapolation.
