Size–strain study of NiO nanoparticles by X-ray powder diffraction line broadening

TLDR
In this article, the size and microstrain of NiO nanoparticles were calculated using Williamson-Hall plots and compared with the results obtained from the Scherrer equation, showing that the straight line obtained in the Williamson-hall plotting shows the homogeneity of the nanoparticles.

One-Step Synthesis of Co-Doped In2O3 Nanorods for High Response of Formaldehyde Sensor at Low Temperature

TL;DR: The superior gas sensing properties of the In2O3/1%Co nanorods were mainly attributed to the incorporation of Co, which suggested the important role of the amount of oxygen vacancies and adsorbed oxygen in enhancing HCHO sensing performance of In 2O3 sensors.

Influence of particle size on performance of a nickel oxide nanoparticle-based supercapacitor

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of the particle size of an active material on its performance as a supercapacitor electrode was reported, and the results suggest that the size of the NiO nanostructure plays an important role because of the presence of a higher number of active sites for a faradaic reaction.
