TLDR
In this paper, an installation containing a DC negative corona discharge reactor, a pulse CORONA discharge reactor and a combined electron beam and microwave induced plasma reactor is presented, where SO 2 is removed up to 42% through spontaneous reaction with ammonia without electron beam or microwave irradiation at the temperature below 70°C.

Review of Packed-Bed Plasma Reactor for Ozone Generation and Air Pollution Control

TL;DR: In this paper, the energy efficiency for ozone generation and gaseous pollutant abatement obtained with packed-bed reactors, if compared to that of non-packed reactors, could be 1.1−4.3 and 1.12 times higher, depending on the type of pollutant, the reactor geometry, and the packing pellets used.

Preliminary pilot plant tests of a corona discharge-electron beam hybrid combustion flue gas cleaning system

TL;DR: Pilot power plant tests of a corona discharge-electron beam hybrid combustion flow gas cleaning system have been conducted as discussed by the authors, and the results show that up to 85% of NO/sub x/ and 98% of SO/sub X/ in flue gases are removed under a CORona discharge electron beam hybrid operations with significant small amount of leaked ammonias from exhaust flue gas.
