TL;DR: Experiments on yeast-yeast interactions in decaying agria cactus provide evidence that the yeast community is coadapted, and this coadaptation among yeasts occurs in two manners: mutualistic increases in growth rates and stabilizing competitive interactions when growth reaches carrying capacity.
