TL;DR: Evaluating the influences of substratum heterogeneity and consumers on patterns of diversity of sessile organisms in Taboguilla Island indicated that persistence of many intertidal organisms depended on holes and crevices in the rock as refuges from both vertebrate (fishes) and invertebrate (crabs, gastropods, chitons) consumers.

Interference and Generation Cycles
TL;DR: The dynamic effects of interference in the context of a structured population model is studied and it is demonstrated that the stabilising effect of interference against paradox of enrichment cycles is unaffected by age-structure and single generation cycles are much more weakly affected by interference.
