Journal ArticleDOI

Sonochemical synthesis, DNA binding, antimicrobial evaluation and in vitro anticancer activity of three new nano-sized Cu(II), Co(II) and Ni(II) chelates based on tri-dentate NOO imine ligands as precursors for metal oxides.

TL;DR: The results showed that the investigated complexes could bind to DNA via an intercalative mode and showed potent cytotoxicity effect against growth of carcinoma cells compared to the clinically used Vinblastine standard.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sol-gel prepared In2O3 thin films

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of annealing in air and in reducing atmosphere was studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and electron spin resonance (ESR).
Journal ArticleDOI

The catalytic oxidation of 1-butene over bismuth molybdate catalysts: IV. Dependence of activity on the structures of the catalysts

TL;DR: In this article, a new method to prepare Bi 2 O 3 -MoO 3 catalysts consisting in boiling slurries of mixtures of freshly prepared and thoroughly washed bismuth hydroxide and molybdic acid has been developed.
Journal ArticleDOI

The crystal structure of tetrahedrite, Cu12Sb4S13

TL;DR: In this article, the absolute configuration of the tetrahedrite structure was established and the least squares refinement in this study reduced an initial disagreement index of 27.9% to 3.9%, and thus confirmed the correctness of the structure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dissolution mechanisms of water in depolymerized silicate melts: Constraints from 1H and 29Si NMR spectroscopy and ab initio calculations

TL;DR: In this article, the 1H and 29Si nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopic techniques were applied to hydrous silicate glasses (quenched melts) in the CaO-MgO-SiO2 (CMS), Na2O-S2O 2, Na2S2, NaO-CaO-O 2 and Li2OSiO 2 systems, and the most prominent result is the identification of a major peak at ∼ 1.1 to 1.7 ppm for all the hydrous CMS glasses.
